Gabriel Cowan is a Sundance and IFP fellow as well as an award-winning filmmaker who has produced over 20 feature films. Over a dozen of Cowan’s movies have premiered at major festivals, including “Cheap Thrills “which won the audience award at South By Southwest, and “They Call Us Monsters” which won the 2017 Independent Lens Award. Cowan has worked with Marisa Tomei, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, John Liguizamo, Courteney Cox, Kate Walsh, and many others. As a musician, Gabe is a multi-platinum recording artist and has played with Jackson Browne, Robbie Robertson, Ry Cooder, the Tower Of Power and others. He serves on the boards of Inside Out Writers and Common Sense Media.
Most recently Cowan launched Audio Design Desk, an A.I.-assisted creative tool that reinvents the process of finding and placing sound design, sound effects, and music for film.
