CREATION OF CONSERVING MAINE’S COAST…

Mark Ireland of MI Media is a long-standing Maine filmmaker now focusing on documentary and educational projects highlighting conservation and Maine’s environment. Along with a small crew, MI Media spent a year filming the entire Maine coast (from Gerrish Island at Kittery Point to Sip Bay in Perry Maine). Filming in all seasons from the mainland, islands, boat decks and on high (the drone cam), the film depicts hundreds of beautiful spots, some known and some very hidden. The film’s story is told entirely through our « characters » – interviews with land trust staff, boat builders, sailors, clammers, biologists, wildlife specialists and a 12 year old climate activist. MI Media gives special thanks to the film’s sponsor: Maine Coast Heritage Trust.

EXTRAS

Thank you for considering a full « purchase », a great way to own this film or gift it to a Mainer in exile. In addition to life-long streaming, MI Media is including 6 extras— short films, each highlighting long coastal scenes not fully seen in the film and each one cut to a different song from Maine’s pianist/composer Paul Sullivan. A coastal Maine resident himself, Paul is a Grammy Award winning musician, has been a member of the Paul Winter Consort, and has played concert tours in most of the United States and Europe, as well as the Middle East, Central America, and Asia (and Leonard Bernstein’s living room!). MI Media is thrilled at the opportunity to combine these lovely Maine coast scenes with Paul’s transformative music!
