The Making of The Monkiest King Album – A documentary film

This is a 38′ documentary film on the making The Monkiest King album – a children’s opera by composer Alice Ping Yee Ho and librettist Marjorie Chan, commissioned by the Canadian Children’s Opera Company to celebrate their 50th Anniversary in 2019 on Centrediscs label, released on June 5th, 2020. This short film includes footages at the recording sessions at the Glenn Gould Studio took place on June 27, 2019; activities at the Dora Awards; a solo dance; a virtual CD launch on June 5, 2020; and numerous interviews with the creative teams and children performers.
